In the Catholic Church we celebrate All Saints’ Day today in honor of the many people that have died and now live eternally in the company of Christ and the many Saints and Angels who we believe live in Heaven. This holy feast day reminds us of our own Earthly mortality, but it also give us great hope in eternal life in Heaven. It is a bittersweet day as we remember all of those people who have died and lived lives of courage, grace, humility and love, and now, they are rewarded with the promises of Heaven.
We are thankful for all of those people in our lives, both past and present, who have modeled Christ’s love on Earth so that we may enjoy the promises of eternal life. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students at CBHS, I wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving. We are most grateful for your entrusting your son (s) to us. In looking ahead on the calendar, please note that we will have a teacher in-service day on Wednesday, January 3rd. Classes are cancelled for the day as teachers will gather for a day of preparation and in-service. Classes will resume on Thursday, January 4 at 8 a.m..
