It may still be Summer, but Fall Sports are in full swing at CBHS. Brothers’ Boys use Athletics to learn about preparation, a foundational lesson for success on and off the field.

We’re excited to see everyone at Tom Nix Stadium for Football Friday Nights! Our 2019 schedule has 7 home games:

We kick off the season with a tough match-up against Bob Jones High School out of Madison, Alabama, on August 23, followed by Hillcrest on August 30. Rival White Station visits on September 13 and Homecoming is September 20 against Pope John Paul II of Nashville. A 3-game home stand sees us hosting Briarcrest, SBA, and Wooddale before we finish the regular season on the road when we face MBA on November 1. Our JV and Freshmen teams will also tackle tough schedules. Come early, be loud, and enjoy the best Friday night experience in the area!

Please join us in keeping our campus alcohol-free during these contests.

Cross Country and Golf teams will also compete this month. Both groups look to extend their traditions of success this year. Coach Nick Dwyer returns to lead our strong Running program and we are proud to welcome Ben Barksdale as the Head Coach of our Purple Wave golfers! Both teams are expecting excellent seasons. These groups put in many hours away from campus and compete hard… without the Friday night lights! We wish them well.

Other teams will begin workouts once we’ve settled into the new school year. Interested individuals should check the daily bulletin or inquire with a Coach within their program.

Remember that without exception, ALL student-athletes at Christian Brothers must be cleared by our athletic training staff before they are eligible to compete. Physicals, TSSAA forms, and health history data must be on file with the athletic department. Contact Tracey King with any questions you may have at

Best of luck to all as we begin a GREAT school year.
