April means our 8 spring sports are busy! Hopefully, the cold, wet weather is behind us and we can get into the groove of competing! This early Spring has been incredibly difficult for our teams to get their practices and games in but we hope to get in a rhythm soon. Baseball hosts their national tournament – The USA Classic on April 4-7 at CBHS and USA Stadium in Millington, TN. Rugby will play a rare home game at Tom Nix Stadium on Thursday, April 5 at 6:00 pm. Come out and see the action! Track just returned from a great showing at a prestigious meet in New Orleans, LA and Lacrosse enters conference play and will travel to Chattanooga and Nashville while hosting Fr. Ryan and MBA. Soccer is off to a great start and will play in two upcoming tournaments – one in Foley, AL April 5-7 and one locally April 12-14. Tennis, Water Polo, and Trap are also keep competing.
Fall and winter sports are busy preparing for their upcoming seasons. On every afternoon, you can walk the campus and see every field and gym space covered with our students training, competing, learning, and growing. It is wonderful to see!
Come out to a game, meet, or match and you will see why it’s Great to a Brothers Boy!
February saw our Wrestling program finish off an incredible season! The Brothers became the 2018 Dual State Champions! CBHS had to defeat a McCallie team that they had previously lost to and then rolled over Baylor in the State Finals. Their overall dual meet record ended up being 22-3. Congratulations to all of the wrestlers, Head Wrestling Coach Derek Harrison, and all of the coaches. The wrestling team won another state title over the weekend finishing ahead of Chattanooga McCallie. CBHS had three individual State Champions: Garrett Bowers 132, Tommy Brackett 195, and Grayson Walthall 220. The four other finalists that finished as runner-ups were: Dayne Dalrymple 106, Evan Anthony 126, Alex Hodge 160, and Pat Healy 285. But, they were not finished just yet as the successful season earned the team an invitation to the prestigious Prep Nationals at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. Grayson Walthall earned All-American status, earning 8th place at 220 lbs. Tommy Bracket also earned All-American status with a 7th place finish at 195 lbs. Gathering Team honors, our squad finished 9th in the Nation at this top level event! The highest finish in the history of our program. Congratulations to ALL for a

March kicks off the most active 3 month period in CBHS Athletics! It also happens to be our most unpredictable weather in the Mid-South! We will have 7 sports competing and 15 teams – (Soccer, Lacrosse, Track, Baseball, Rugby, Tennis, Water Polo, & Trap Shooting) Without a doubt, we will have someone competing EVERYDAY! Please be flexible and understand that the weather, facilities, officials, and opponents all factor into after school activities. Practice and game schedules tend to change within the hour. Sports sanctioned by the TSSAA may begin official games on Monday, March 12. Other sports may have begun earlier. We are excited to watch these athletes participate! They have put in hours preparing and should have successful seasons. Please get out to a contest and enjoy watching them compete!

November in Memphis means the changing of the Seasons. Temperatures have dropped, and the sweaty days are replaced with crisp Fall temperatures. That also means that our Fall sports compete for their State Championships and Winter sports begin their official practices and compete in early season action.
Cross Country has trained for the past 5 months for their race on November 4 at Percy Warner State Park in Nashville. It is a huge event in the running community and fun to watch our guys run so hard! We wish them luck.
Football is wrapping up a historic, undefeated regular season and claimed the 2017 Region Championship. Coach McDaniel, his staff, and players have been impressive with their physicality and toughness since August. They have earned a bye on November 3, will host a playoff game on November 10, and (hopefully) host the Semi-finals on November 17. Basketball and Wrestling began official practice on Monday, Oct. 30. Both teams have had a busy offseason, competing all summer on the regional and national level.
